He is the Director of the Coronary Catheter Labs at the Imperial College Healthcare Trust and performs a high volume of complex coronary intervention using the latest techniques.

Dr Nijjer was elected President of the Cardiology Section, at the Royal Society of Medicine. This was a highly prestigious role with responsibility for the training of Cardiology trainees across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. He has pioneered the transition from in-person training delivered in an exclusive central London venue to a comprehensive online programme. Dr Nijjer raised substantial capital to preserve the programme for generations to come.
Local Roles
Dr Nijjer is the Director of the Cardiac Catheter Labs at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He manages 3 high volume labs with amongst the highest rates of angioplasty in London.
He was previously the Director of Governance for the entire Cardiovascular Directorate in the Trust, covering both Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. He was also the Lead for the Ealing Community Cardiology Service - the largest of Imperial's community services.
